Owner and bank roller of Medeama SC; Mr. Moses Armah Packer has confidently stated that his team will surmount the hurdle of Al Ittihad in the second leg of the preliminary stages of the CAF Confederation Cup to progress to the next phase.
The Tarkwa-based club lost the first leg narrowly by one goal to nil away in Tunis against Al Ittihad Tripoli of Libya and will play the return encounter at the Essipong Stadium come this Sunday, 20th March, 2016.
According to the ‘yellows and mauve’ President, the club have what it takes to turn things around in order to qualify to the next stage of the competition.
In an exclusive interview with Multi-Media’s, Mr. Patrick Osei Agyemang (Countryman Songo), “It is a good performance from my players.
It’s just one nil. We are going to do our homework and come Sunday, we are going to qualify. Looking at our game today, by all means we are going to make Essipong Stadium like hell fire for them come Sunday” he vehemently noted.
Following a good showing in 2014, eliminating ZESCO United of Zambia in the 1/16 stage but missing narrowly on getting to the money zone after falling to AC Leopards of Congo, there is more confidence going into the second leg.
Medeama are the only surviving club representing Ghana following the early exit of Ashanti Gold by Algerian outfit, MO Bejaia not too long ago.
