Daniel Korley Botchway has been elected as the 58th President of the National Union of Ghana Students 🇬🇭 (NUGS).
This follows a hot contest over the weekend where positions that would enable the 58th administration function as an executive took place.

Others such as Alvin Otchere secured 128 votes, as Mabel Obeng polled 87 votes with Batia Sami-Ulah managing to secure 53 votes to place last.
Details:
In the General Secretary position, Bismark Yaw Ofori polled 356 votes to become winner.
Meanwhile, Sayibu Hamdaway and Ofori Daniel Acheampong, the two other contestants could only secure 225 and 173 votes respectively to place second and third.

Charge:
Speaking to this reporter after the elections, Daniel Oppong Kyeremeh, the outgoing NUGS President said he was satisfied with the outcome of the polls.
He admitted that the elections were conducted in a free and transparent manner.
However, Mr Kyeremeh charged the newly elected executives who would be formally sworn into office in November to work together to push the transformational agenda the 57th administration started forward.
“I am happy with the outcome of the just ended NUGS Executive elections and I pray the new entrants would commit to pushing the reforms and transformational agenda we led forward so that the 12.5 million students in Ghana 🇬🇭 could have basis to trust their administration”, Mr Kyeremeh stated.
