Accident victims receive support from minister

IMG-20141016-WA0006In what seemed to be a huge bill for the two surviving victims of the accident that occurred near the White Volta ahead of the Black Stars game at the Tamale Sports Stadium, the Northern Regional Minister, Alhaji Laminu Muniru has sent a message to the management and staff of the Tamale Teaching Hospital to take very good care of those supporters and that he will personally pay all their bills until they are discharged.

The two, Isahaku Batiga and Micheal Karimari, sustained various degrees of injuries while Mr. Amo Mensah, an accountant at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium lost his life, few minutes after arriving at the hospital.

According to the two victims, they feel relieved by the action of the Regional Minister as they least expected that from him.

“We are much relieved by the decision of the Minister to foot our bills. May God bless him. Even though he has not been here personally, he has sent a message to the hospital directing them to take good care of us and they are doing exactly that. The Minister has done well, and all that we will say is that, may God bless him abundantly”, Batiga said.

The two are likely to be transferred to the Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital by the close of work on Friday.
