Rapper Akoo Nana says despite the various accounts on how hip-life musician Castro disappeared on the Volta Lake, some people are taking advantage of the situation to disgrace the singer.
Akoo Nana, speaking on Peace FM’s Entertainment Review over the weekend, stated that while spiritualists were taking advantage of Castro’s disappearance to blackmail some industry members, other people were seizing the opportunity to disgrace him.
“Comparing what happened at Ada, the stories are too much. The white guy who said he saw Castro on the water has been giving three different accounts. Then we have some spiritualists also coming out to demand money before they reveal the whereabouts of Castro.
Some people want to use the event to make their churches and themselves popular. Some others are even taking advantage to disgrace him. More or less I feel there is blackmailing and other things going on regarding the issue,” the ‘Nahna’ hitmaker said.
Castro drowned in the Volta Lake at Ada on July 6 with a female acquaintance, Janet Bandu while jet skiing. He was with Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan among other friends at the Peace Holiday Resort when the unfortunate incident happened.
According to Akoo Nana, “Comparing the various accounts surrounding the incident, I feel there are no facts in there. Castro and I have been friends for more than 18 years. We are so close. I feel Castro is alive.”
Akoo Nana received serious bashing after alleging that Castro had been kidnapped. Others thought the musician was using Castro’s misfortunate to make himself popular.
