Asamoah Kofi a farmer at Nsuta, a suburb of Techiman says he takes it as an energiser to help him work hard on the farm. Others say they are taking the drink religiously to help fight the harmattan cold.
A retailer of the local gin stationed at Brigade in Techiman tells rawgist.com customers start taking the drink at her spot around 4:00am. She says she sells it to them despite her reservations and adds that business is good. She however fears the surge in sales will be short-lived, lasting only through the harmattan.
