Two-time Presidential Candidate Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will resume his campaign to lead the New Patriotic Party (NPP) from today in the Eastern Region.
Nana Addo suspended his campaign on Thursday, August 1 to enable him monitor the limited voters’ registration exercise, which ended on Wednesday, August 13.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, Nana Addo congratulated officers of NPP “for the vigilance displayed in the limited voter registration exercise.”
“I also thank all well-wishers across the country who, in diverse ways, helped NPP agents at the various registration centres, including feeding them.”
He expressed confidence the party’s agents made sure only eligible voters had their names in the register.
“I highly commend them for their efforts, knowing that they will at all times protect the interests of our great party and the nation when called upon.”
Nana Addo, since launching his campaign in July, has been in three regions and was scheduled to be in the Brong Ahafo, Ashanti, Eastern and Volta regions between August 3 and August 10.
Though he was in the Eastern Region to monitor the registration, Nana Addo goes back to restart his campaign.
