The Ashanti Regional Youth Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dennis Kwakwa says President Akufo-Addo would use his second term of office to create more jobs for the youth.
According to him, aside opportunities the youth have in state institutions such as Youth Employment Agency (YEA) and the Nation Builders Corps ( NABco), the President has shown commitment to enrolling more employment modules after 2020.
Speaking to the Ghanaian Observer newspaper at his office last Friday, Mr Kwakwa who doubles as the Ashanti Regional NABco coordinator said he was upbeat that the youth would receive more avenues to trade their skills after 2020.
The NPP party, particularly the youth wing was solidly behind the President to deliver on all the promises he has made to the Ghanaian people, Mr Kwakwa intimated.
“From my interactions with the President I have every assurance that he would roll out more programs just as NABco and many other modules of employment so that the youth of this country can have avenues to trade their skills from 2021”, the youth organiser confidently posited.
CAMPAIGN:
Mr Kwakwa revealed plans by the youth wing to undertake a purely grassroot campaign ahead of the 2020 elections.
This strategy, he noted is the most effective than any other.
He stressed that the wing was setting up to mobilise all resources it will need to launch a purely grassroot campaign.
Mr Kwakwa noted that the campaign would be launched across all the 47 constituencies in Ashanti.
“While we support the President to give our colleagues jobs in his second term we are also committed to give him all the votes in the 47 constituencies in Ashanti in the 2020 general elections”, Mr Kwakwa.
APPRECIATION:
Showing appreciation to the people and chiefs in the Ashanti Region, the youth organiser thanked them for making the recent independence day celebration held in Kumasi a memorable one.
Mr Kwakwa heaped praises on the Asantehene, OtumfuoOsei Tutu II for making the occasion a grand one with his resplendent presence.
He also commended heads of institutions, the clergy as well as other traditional authorities for their support and presence at the ceremony.
The youth organiser praised the organisers for the manner they carried out all processes in the lead up to the flagship celebration of the country.
“I, on behalf of the NPP executives in Ashanti would want to commend the Asantehene for his presence and graceful support during the anniversary as well as many others whose individual and corporate support ensured we had an excellent independence day celebration in Kumasi”, the youth organiser stated.
