Akwasi Appiah selects his final 30-man black stars squad for world cup

black starsThe list of coach Akwasi Appiah’s final 30-man squad selected for 2014 world cup has leaked as some notable names are left out.
According to footy-ghana.com, three changes were made to the initial squad list published by the Ghana News Agency and the Finder Newspaper, with Leicester City’s Jeffrey Schlupp making way for David Addy of Vitoria Guimaraes and Parma midfielder Afriyie Acquah replacing Sassuolo’s Rahman Chibsah.

Barnsley’s Emmanuel Frimpong has also made way for Elche striker Richmond Boakye Yiadom.

The 30-man squad will be officially released on Monday May 12, with former team captain John Mensah left out due to injury challenges.

As earlier revealed, Isaac Vorsah is part of the provisional squad, as is Schalke 04 midfielder Anthony Annan.

Aduana Stars goalkeeper Stephen Adams is also the only locally based player selected by Black Stars head coach Kwesi Appiah.
