Ama Pomaa honoured by two outfits for girls in ICT project

AMA POMAA HONOURED BY TWO OUTFITS FOR GIRLS IN ICT PROJECT.

Deputy Minister for Communications and Digitalisation, Hon Ama Pomaa Boateng has been honoured by Huawei and Seeds for the Future, two outfits partnering the Ministry of Communications in rolling out the All Girls in ICT project.

At an impressive event held in Accra on Thursday, the two outfits in separate citations commended the Deputy Minister for her passion and interest in the project.

The project seeks to give information and communication technology (ICT) skills and education to girls in Senior High schools across the country.

The two outfits expressed their happiness about the unending and unwavering interest of the Juaben MP in the project.

STATEMENTS:
Commending the Deputy Minister, the statement by Huawei on the citation said Hon Ama Pomaa had exhibited strong passion towards the project.

It added that her undying spirit to see the project succeed and thereby help to equip girls in SHS schools with knowledge and skill in ICT was exemplary.

On the part of the Seeds for the Future, the outfit said the Deputy Minister and MP for Juaben had shown great sacrifice to see the project succeed.

It added that the display of unbridled commitment by Hon Pomaa to the project was truly inspiring.

APPRECIATION:
Receiving the honours, soft spoken Hon Pomaa said she was happy that her little effort to empower girls had been openly recognised.

She noted that there was the need to use every modern tool especially ICT to empower young girls in school.

This, she noted would encourage them to continue in school and to further their education since the opportunities that lie in ICT has the potential to make them useful in life.

Hon Pomaa thanked officials at the two outfits, Huawei and Seeds for the Future for showing tremendous support by partnering the Ministry to roll out the All Girls in ICT project across the country seamlessly.
