Asamoah Gyan, the captain of Ghana’s senior national football team, the Black Stars, has made a donation of USD10,000 to Kwabena Kwabena’s Save a Life Foundation. This follows the football star’s realization of how the lives of a lot of children in Ghana are lost each year to the painful hole-in-heart condition.
Multiple award-winning Ghanaian highlife musician, Kwabena Kwabena who initiated the Save A Life Foundation received the donation and thanked the Captain for the kind gesture.
The Kwabena Kwabena’s Save A Life Foundation was set up to raise funds for children who cannot afford to undergo a heart surgery. Since its inception, the foundation has gone a long way to save over six hole-in-heart patients on the waiting list of the National Cardiothoracic Center.
Contributions and pledges generously made by corporate bodies, the general public as well as friends of Kwabena Kwabena are what keep the initiative alive.
Kwabena Kwabena called on everyone to help support the Foundation to make patients suffering from hole-in-heart have better lives.
