Ashanti Minister Lauds MTN For Sponsoring Thrilling Konnect Music Concert

Some selected Ghanaian Gospel as well as secular musicians on Saturday evening thrilled the audience that patronised the Ashantifest Konnect Music Concert at the Rattray Park in Kumasi.

Showing energetic and sterling performances amidst soothing music, each of the artists gave their best to the audience who also sang along the notable tunes that were played.

Famous Gospel icons like Tagoe Sisters, Jack Alolome and others performed at high levels sending their audience into worship moods.

Mass Melo, Y-Pee and the other hiplife artists with youthful energy spiced up the occasion with their music and dancing skills while keeping the audience on their feet into the early hours of Sunday.

Regional Minister:
Addressing the ecstatic audience, Dr Frank Amoakohene, the Ashanti Regional Minister thanked MTN Ghana 🇬🇭  for sponsoring the event.

He also commended the company for graciously accepting to partner the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council (ARCC) in the ongoing Ashantifest events.

Dr Amoakohene stated that when MTN was approached at the last minute the company didn’t disappoint but welcomed the idea and decided to sponsor some of the events lined up.

“The commitment of MTN to Ashantifest and to the public good is really amazing and we are grateful that at a short notice the company decided to sponsor the blood donation exercise, this Konnect Music Concert and others lined up in the ongoing programme”, the Minister noted.

Patrons:
Akua Animah, a second hand clothes dealer said she decided to attend the event to enjoy herself at Easter.

“Some of us have being staying indoors at Easter periods and to have this opportunity to see these musicians I decided to come and enjoy myself”, Animah indicated.

Raymond Agyemfra, a 32 year old resident of Patasi said he came to enjoy himself after hearing of the Konnect Music Concert.

“I thank the regional Minister for this Ashantifest program whose events have brought life into Kumasi, something which was unseen during Easter holidays”, Mr Agyemfra posited.
