NDC members within the Ahafo Ano North constituency have began to bare their teeth at the Ashanti regional minister; Mr. Peter Anarfi Mensah following his bid to contest the Ahafo Ano North parliamentary seat on the ticket of the NDC against all odds.
The honorable regional minister was forced to run away after party delegates at Camp two abandoned him at the sight of the incumbent Member of Parliament.
Apparently, the minister had organised the community for an interaction with him last Friday. Unfortunately, his program coincided with another program the MP was holding in the same town. The minister had planned meeting them at a weighing centre whiles the MP was also meeting them in a classroom.
Unfortunately for the minister the delegates chose to attend that of the MP and left him to be seated for hours after which he left in anger.
The minister was accompanied by the constituency organizer, former secretary who resigned after filing his nominations as well as the former constituency Vice chairman.
The Ashanti regional minister is contesting the incumbent NDC MP; Akwasi Adusei for the parliamentary seat, a situation NDC delegates and sympathizers believe will break the party’s front in the constituency and cost them to lose the seat to the NPP.
The NDC expects to win one million votes from the Ashanti region in the 2016 elections.
