Several members of the National Democratic Congress were overjoyed when they saw Joseph Yammin put on his party gear and working for the party just a day after his removal as Deputy Ashanti Regional minister.
The former deputy minister was at Obuasi to help empower entrepreneurs there under an initiative of the Obuasi Municipal Chief Executive Richard Ofori Agyemang Boadi popularly known as Zuba.
Though happy with the event, participants seemed more excited at the sight of “the true son of the party” who instead of licking his wounds a day after his sack appeared very cheerful and addressed the crowd with a message that re-echoed the determination of the NDC to sweep several more seats in the Ashanti region including some from Obuasi.
Joseph Yammin in an interview with rawgist.com continued to thank the president and made a solemn vow to ensure that the 1 million votes target in the Ashanti region does not remain a mere mantra but reality in 2016.
Many party faithful who consider his removal from office as the Deputy Ashanti regional minister a colossal loss to the party continue to visit and pledge their support to him in his quest to win the Ashanti region for the NDC.
