Ghana Politics News-Ashanti Regional NDC Organizer hopeful Abass Mubarak Abass is urging his colleagues to abandon their ambitions of contesting him and throw their weight behind him instead.
“All those contesting me know I can do the job better than them. Maybe they realized a bit too late that I was in the race. They should come and support me”, he told Bernard Buachi of rawgist.com.
Abass Mubarak Abass, popularly known as kokowura ba says he will organize party folk in every facet of the party to ensure victory for the NDC in election 2020.
He insists that contrary to popular opinion, the Ashanti region is rather the stronghold of the NDC. “Any time the NDC wins 30% of Ashanti votes, we win the elections, I am going to make this achievable as Regional Organizer”, he said.
He also lamented the party’s communication flaws which he believes accounted much for the party’s electoral defeat in the previous elections and gave assurances he will help organize resources to support communication efforts as well.
Kokowura ba has served the NDC for sixteen years in various capacities ranging from Assembly Member, Finance Committee Chairman, Ashanti LESDEP Chairman, Constituency Youth Organizer as well as Constituency Organizer.
He called on the delegates to consider his track record in the party and vote him as Regional Organizer.
