In a bid to inform and also take feedback from Asokwa residents about government policies, Chief Akwannuasa Gyimah, Madam Patricia Appiagyei and Reverend Fosu Nkromah, Municipal Chief Executive, MP and NPP constituency chairman respectively have toured all the electoral areas in the Municipality to engage with the people.
Starting at Atonsu electoral area in the first week of the scheduled tour, the three personalities aided by the constituency secretary and organizer as well as other executives also visited Chirapatre, Atonsu Agogo North, Kuwait Aprabo, Ahensan, Asokwa, Gyinyase and Ahensan Estate to interact with residents.
Answering questions about unemployment and social interventions for the poor and needy, the MCE, MP and Party Chairman noted that government was determined to ensure it provides all incentives to the people so as to make their lives better.
Government, the trio at separate functions explained has decentralised the former scholarship scheme to all districts in the country and thus working to ensure everyone has access to funds to pursue higher education at the university.
MUNICIPAL CHIEF EXECUTIVE:
Chief Akwannuasa Gyimah told residents at Asokwa that government is desirous of the total development of the Municipality.
The Assembly, he noted has been created to lead this kind of development.
He urged residents to take advantage of the presence of the Assembly and channel all concerns as well as suggestions that would help fast track the Asokwa community’s development.
Chief Akwannuasa stressed that the desire of the Assembly is to collaborate with all stakeholders in the Municipality to come up with ideas to providing job opportunities for the youth and the unemployed in the communities.
MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT:
On her part, Mama Pat as the MP is fondly referred to as reiterated her commitment to leading efforts in lobbying for development projects for the Asokwa Municipality.
She said her desire is to see people get jobs and live happily in the communities in the municipality.
Roads and other projects that needed attention, she poisted are being worked on by the Ministry of Roads and Highways, adding the Assembly and her outfit are in touch to see all roads either constructed or reconstructed for use by residents.
Madam Appiagyei pledged her commitment to supporting the Asokwa Municipal Assembly in tackling all priority projects it has identified in the communities of Asokwa.
ASOKWA NPP CHAIRMAN:
Reverend Fosu Nkromah, Asokwa Constituency Chairman for the NPP also admonished residents at various meetings to support the Akufo Addo administration to ensure it delivers on its promises.
The success of the NPP government, he intimated is success for all Ghanaians.
He asked residents to take advantage of the creation of the Asokwa Municipality to furnish it with their respective concerns and grievances as well as suggestions.
This, he noted will help guide the Assembly to plan its path of development and also prioritise urgent programs to address or implement for the people of t Asokwa.
