Asokwa MP, MCE laud President for Asokwa roads construction

Ghana Politics News-The Member of Parliament for the Asokwa Constituency and the Municipal Chief Executive for Asokwa has commended the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for factoring roads in the area into the greater Kumasi project.

The construction of the Asokwa stretch as well as the works on the susan river with an overhead bridge to enable people cross to Ahensan-Estate, the two noted will take off the burden on the people of Asokwa.

Speaking to this reporter after the tour of the President in the constituency, Madam Patricia Appiagyei (MP) and Hon Akwanuasah Gyimah praised the Ghanaian leader for his generosity.

The roads in the constituency, the duo stressed has been a source of worry to them since the traffic on the stretch during working days was getting discomforting.

MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT:

Speaking to this reporter at the commissioning of the springs and bolts Company at Kaase, Madam Appiagyei lauded the efforts of the CEO.

The project which has been classified as part of the factories under the one district one factory initiative would help to create opportunities for the youth in the locality to get jobs to do, Madam Appiagyei noted.

With the current workforce of 165, the calm MP said the company stands to employ more people when it secures government support.

Madam Appiagyei commended the President for visiting the site and promising to help it get the needed incentives to enable them expand.

MUNICIPAL CHIEF EXECUTIVE:

On his part, Hon Akwanuasah Gyimah encouraged entrepreneurs in Asokwa to take advantage of government support to start up businesses.

He noted that since they would get assistance when they start there was no point wanting to start something big when they could begin with just an idea.

Mr Akwanuasah, an accomplished entrepreneur himself urged the youth in the area to learn some trade or skill so that when jobs become available they could easily get employment.

The era where people waited for white collar jobs, he mentioned is gone and urged the youth to put premium on themselves by either studying or learning a skill or trade.
