The days of sitting under trees as staff of the Atwima Nwabiagya North District Assembly are over. The message was delivered clearly when the DCE commissioned an office block for the staff of the Assembly.
DCE for the area; Rebecca Yeboah told rawgist.com they have borne a lot of embarrassment working under trees since the district was created about a year ago.
She recounts how the Assembly partnered the Chief of the area to renovate an old cocoa shed into a full-fledged office to enhance the administration of the district.
The commissioning of the facility coincided with the first anniversary of the creation of the district.
The Assembly under the leadership of Madam Rebecca Yeboah has also commissioned a 3-unit classroom block for the D/A Primary School at the District capital; Barekese.
Madam Rebecca Yeboah expressed gratitude to the chief of the area for their support to the assembly.
