Multiple awards winning group, 4×4, is ready to thrill all music lovers come the 18th of October, 2014, at the Accra International Conference Center, on the platform of the Hennessy Artistry concert.
4×4 has always been a group of distinction as Captain Planet (Sylvanus Jeff Dodji) is a rapper in four different Ghanaian local languages, CoDed (Russel Edem Avornyo) is a Ragga/Dancehall artiste and Fresh Prince (Prince Tamaklo) has chosen to have a soft spot for R&B.
The group is undoubtedly one of the most successful groups Ghana can boast of. Their multi-talented abilities and creative style of music have not only redefined the music industry but as well rejuvenate the Ghanaians sense for good music.
4×4, over the years, have distinct themselves with great indigenous tunes and creativity laden videos which has made them not only authentic but acceptable to fans, and corporate entities; and that’s what Hennessy Artistry is all about.
The group was founded in 2002 initially as a duo between Captain Planet and CoDed, through mutual acquaintances in BUK BAK group who later mentored them and natured them to a healthy stage- enough- for them to release their very first Album “Sikilitele” in 2003.
The group name was inspired by the collaboration of the two groups, making them 4 (It could be recalled that then, Buk Bak had only 2 members). From there on, they became unstoppable on the Ghanaian Hiplife scene, with hit after hit; leading to four highly successful albums.
After their third Studio album, the group decided to expand the membership and infuse more rhythm in their music, which led them to extend a hand of music fellowship to Fresh Prince who had previously collaborated with them on the hit crunk tune and album titled track “Hotgirls.com” in 2007. With Fresh Prince inclusion, they went on to release the “World Trade Centre” album in 2009 which won them a GMA nomination and Five (5) 4syte Music Video Awards in 2010.
4×4 truly went international when they joined hands with 8 other African acts including Fally Ipupa and 2Face Idibia to form the ONE8 Supergroup which recorded the global hit single “Hands across the World” with international R&B superstar; R Kelly.
The group has performed alongside some of the biggest names in the music world; including Jay-Z and Busta Rhymes. They have also thrilled fans across the world in various events in USA, Europe and Africa.
It is no news that Hennessy Artistry is a famed global music campaign, designed with the sole aim of promoting the art of mixing various genres of tunes and blending the talents of the world’s top artistes for the world to appreciate and enjoy.
Managements made it known to the press that tickets are being sold for Ghs 200 (VVIP), Ghs 120 (VIP), and Ghs 60 (Regular) respectively. They also made it known that their fans can also win free tickets as information reaching us also has it that the brand will be bringing musical adventures to selected clubs in Accra for customers to win tickets.
The parties will come up on September 26 at One2One Lounge in the Movenpick Ambassadors Hotel, October 3 at the Hollywood Boulevard and October 10 at Shisha Lounge.
