Backstabbers are formidable forces in political parties and National Leadership whose evil plots, machinations and subsequent success in all their deeds contribute a great deal to Ghana’s mismanagement and underdevelopment, Joseph Yammin, the former National Coordinator of NADMO has said.
According to him, the negative counsels of backstabbers to political leaders mostly cause them to make untimely ministerial reshuffles or dismiss certain cabinet ministers which actions of political leaders caused a scar in national governance.
Speaking in an interview on “The role of backstabbers in politics and national governance”, the former Youth and Sports Minister said, though backstabbers make political practice beautiful, their activities undermine the performance of certain cabinet ministers, which result in negative outcomes.
Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, recently cautioned President Akufo Addo to beware of backstabbers and people who surround him and their activities in order to deliver on the mandate given him by Ghanaians.
Certain political party gurus always engage in actions that undermine the performance and success of public office holders and top managerial staff in some companies by fabricating and influencing presidents and company owners, the result of which amounts to ill-timed transfers, reshuffles and dismissals.
Joseph Yammin is cautioning leaders not to always allow themselves to influenced by backstabbers before they shift posts of their appointees and management.
