Co-founder and General Overseer of the Calvary Charismatic Center (CCC) has reminded Ghanaians especially church leaders to be mindful of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Pastor Ransford Obeng who was addressing journalists at his church observed worryingly that many pastors had begun organizing huge programmes during which the COVID-19 protocols are absent.
He encouraged them to remain strict in the observance of the COVID-19 protocols as the pandemic is not yet over.
“Use your face masks and observe all the protocols including social distancing and frequent hand washing in order to remain safe” he stressed.
As the world approaches the Christmas and New Year season, many social and religious activities will be held. Parties, church meetings and all night services will become the new normal. With Ghana’s COVID-19 statistics inching up, Pastor Ransford fears if churches do not take the lead in ensuring that the COVID-19 protocols are observed, the nation may be in a sorry state.
