Mrs. Margaret Benneh, founder of Abuakwa based Monic Memorial School has lamented the irresponsible attitudes of parents that have resulted in the raising of several children who have lost their paths in life.
“Most parents tend not to care for the wellbeing of their children and this has brought about the long debatable topic of how children are not able to discover their ability in other help them settle on a good career for the future”, she explained.
“There are a number of parents who do not critically monitor activities of their children. They sometimes forget that they have a role to play when it comes to the upbringing of their children.”
She made this call at the School’s graduation ceremony held at the School’s premise during which about three hundred pupils graduated.
She similarly cautioned the media to be cautious about the kind of programs they show or broadcast on their channels. She explained that, the media has a very important role to play on the society when it comes it comes to educating their listeners or viewers.
The proprietress discouraged politicization of educational issues and urged authorities to formulate good policies that will enhance the academic environment.
