The assembly member of Bibiani Estate in the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai municipality has voted an amount of GHC 5,000 towards strengthening of precautionary measures in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
Speaking to Awuku Addo Okyeame radio Bibiani after a sensitization meeting held with his constituents, Kwame Asamoah said he has realized government alone cannot fight the pandemic so he’s voting that amount to help provide gloves, nose masks, alcohol based hand sanitizers etc to hair dressers and beauticians, tailors, barbers, drinking bar operators etc. in his electoral area.
Some of the tailors, barbers, hairdressers and beauticians, etc who participated in the sensitization program expressed their profound gratitude to the Assembly man for the gesture and called on the municipal assembly to also come to the aid of the citizenry.
