Ghana Politics News-The Chiefs and people of Bibiani Friday appealed passionately to former BOST MD; Alfred Obeng Boateng to contest the parliamentary seat in the area.
Alfred Obeng Boateng was visiting his hometown for the first time after his removal as BOST MD by the President.
The Chiefs and people of Bibiani and surrounding communities gave the former MD and businessman a rousing welcome home.
They encouraged him not to be worried since they know the sabotage and frustrations he went through at BOST and said they were proud of him.
Mr. Obeng Boateng who was visibly surprised by the love showered on him, assured the gathering of his commitment to help develop the area.
He said the termination of his appointment could not end his great vision for his people and added that he did not go into politics for his personal interests.
Mr. Alfred Obeng Boateng was removed as MD of Ghana’s Bulk Oil Storage and Transport Company (BOST) without any stated reason in June this year.
