A 28 year-old farmer and small scale miner has been jailed for 15 years for defiling a 9 year-old class three pupil at Sefwi Antobia in the Sefwi Juaboso district of the western north region.
The case was heard in the Bibiani circuit court presided over by His Honour Owoahene Yaw Acheampong.
The accused was the stepfather of the victim.
Mother of the victim; Sister Mercy Nyame recounted vividly her sex life with the accused and explained that she always does her best to satisfy him sexually. She was therefore shocked that the accused bypassed her to have intercourse with her young daughter in their room and on their bed.
Speaking to Awuku Addo of Henex Radio Bibiani after the judgement the accused, George Nyamekye a native of Techiman Nkoranza knelt down in tears pleading with the court to spare him because he was influenced by Satan. His plea was however not taken.
