Ghana Business News-Businesses should focus on their core business activity and build it to the level where nothing can break the foundation.
This is the piece of advice from the CEO of Mutual Integrity Asset Management Company; Mr. Ebenezer Esigi.
Mr. Esigie was addressing a group of young entrepreneurs at a seminar organized by the Mountain Builders Network (MBN) in Kumasi.
He explained that many businesses get overwhelmed by their initial success that they tend to want to move into new business spaces with their new found confidence.
He however cautioned against such attempts at diversifying.
Mr. Esigie believes a lot of the Microfinance companies that moved into the commercial banking space could have remained excellent and solid Microfinance brands in the country.
He believes this is one serious lesson businesses should pick up from the banking crisis that has hit several banks in Ghana recently.
