Ghana’s rap doctor Okyeame Kwame says though it has been over a week since hip-life artiste Castro went missing on the Volta Lake and is now feared dead, the missing artiste could be in Togo.
Castro went missing on Sunday July 6, 2014, while jet skiing on the Volta Lake at Ada where he was holidaying with Black Stars’ Captain, Asamoah Gyan and some other friends.
Reports say Castro – born Theophilus Tagoe – drowned while trying to save Janet Bandu, an acquaintance.
But Okyeame Kwame stated that considering the geographical location of Ada, the Estuary and the sea, if Castro was drawn into the sea he could have possibly drifted towards Togo.
“I don’t believe Castro is dead because he was a good swimmer. From Ada, Togo is on the east and it is very possible that our brother might have washed up there,” the ‘Woso’ hit maker said on Joy TV’s ‘White Carpet’.
Asked whether he misses Castro, Okyeame Kwame added, “Now I can’t say I miss Castro because he is just constantly on my mind. I don’t miss him. We just hope to find him. I do not miss him because I don’t think he is dead,” he said.
A search party led by the Marine Unit of the Ghana Police Service with assistance from the Ghana Navy and local folks have since been searching tirelessly to find both Castro and Janet.
