Ghana Health News-The Atasemanso branch of the Calvary Charismatic Center (CCC) says it will soon roll out social programmes that will enhance the lives of the people living in the church neighborhood.
Presiding Pastor, Rev. Samuel Aduama made the revelation in an interview with Bernard Buachi of rawgist.com during a health screening exercise the church held Saturday at the church premises at Atasemanso in Kumasi.
The programme targeted residents of the Atasemanso community especially commercial drivers.
Pastor Aduama explained that these programmes are borne out of a need to give back to the community that has supported the church.
He also revealed that the free Health screening exercise is going to be held twice every year.
“Beyond this, we will unveil other projects soon. We have a project we call feed the community as well as the smile for kids programme which will put a smile on the faces of kids in neighboring communities”, he hinted.
The free health screening exercise focused on body mass index computation, blood sugar tests, Hepatitis B tests, Nutrition counseling and general consultation. The programme which targeted 200 people was oversubscribed.
The participants, many of who chanced on the programme were excited and appealed to the church to make it a frequent occurrence. Some were happy they found out issues that were developing and giving directions on how to handle them.
