Resident Pastor at Calvary Charismatic Center (CCC), Pastor Joshua Obeng together with the elders of the church on Friday presented 15 bags of rice, 5 boxes of cooking oil, 3 boxes of tomato ? puree and 3 boxes of pilchards in sauce to the Ghana Blind Union (GBU).

Speaking succinctly at a brief ceremony at the precincts of the church ⛪, Pastor Joshua said the gesture which was started in the year 2020 has now become a part of CCC to the Blind Union.

He noted that the church recognises the difficulties sight impaired persons were facing but stated that CCC was committed to doing its best to bring relief to them anytime God grants the church the opportunity.

“The central message behind Christmas ?  is sharing or giving because that’s what God demonstrated to us by giving us Christ and so for CCC apart from the over 200 white canes we have so far given to the Union we have also seen the need to give them food items when Christmas ?  is approaching so they can share among themselves and make merry with same”, Pastor Joshua said.

Advice:
The CCC Resident Pastor took the opportunity to advise vehicle users to drive cautiously during these times as the festive season approaches.

He noted that while the temptation is so high to want to cash in as Christmas rears its head, it was important that they take into consideration the safety of other users of the road such as the sight impaired as well as other passengers.

Pastor Joshua also advised the public to share with those who do not have during this season and by so doing bring smiles on the faces of others.

“We must be careful what we do at Christmas ? because the season is about giving. However, i will like to advice vehicle users to drive responsibly and take into consideration other users of the road such as sight impaired persons so that all of us could have an incident free festive season”, Pastor Joshua advised.

Appreciation:
The Ashanti Regional President of the Ghana Blind Union, Mr Abdul Basit thanked CCC leaders and the congregation for the gesture.

He noted that the thoughtfulness of the church was past finding out and prayed God’s blessings for the members.

Mr Basit also said the group for four years have been receiving so much from CCC ⛪ including white canes and food supplies.

“It is refreshing to see that one church ⛪ would be so much committed to the course of sight impaired persons as CCC does and we bless the General Overseer, Reverend Ransford Obeng and the members for having us in heart and granting us opportunity to feel loved at all times”, Mr Basit stated.
