Chief of Defense staff, Air Marshal Michael Samson Oje has commissioned an ultra-modern two story accommodation facility for personnel at the Tamale air force base. The new blocks will provide accommodation for three hundred and twenty (320) soldiers at the base.
Gracing the occasion at Carmina, chief of Defense staff charged personnel’s especially the young ones who were to occupy the room to take very good care of the facility and adopt high maintenance culture which will ensure the longevity of the complex.
Air vice Marshal Maxwell Mantserbi -Tei Nagai on the occasion also said, “this will not only improve the accommodation state of the Base but also raise morale and welfare of our young airmen /airwomen and most importantly enhance the operational capacity of the base. It is not far-fetched that the commissioning of the 
accommodation complex here is an important step in the process of the Ghana air force achieving its set strategic objectives for the year.
Group Captain Adu Gyamfi , advised political and vigilante groups saying; “we are battle ready to go after any political vigilante and individual groups who are planning to resort to violence during and after the election.”
