Ghana News-The former deputy minister of food and agriculture in charge of livestock, Dr. Louisa Hannah Bisiw has nailed the Vice President of Ghana Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia on his failure to keep the cedis in police custody for life.
She says she expects the NPP government and Dr. Bawumia to do something better about the fluctuation of the cedi against the major trading currencies in the country.
In the beginning of last year, the Vice President made a statement saying his government had arrested the depreciation of the cedis against the foreign currencies and has handed over the keys to the Inspector General of Police (IGP).
The cedis, however continues to depreciate against the major trading currencies; a situation which is having grave effect on businesses in the country.
Dr. Bissiw mocked the Vice President during a telephone conversation on Oyerepa breakfast show saying the cedis is on jail break and that the veep should act swiftly to recapture it.
