Chieftaincy Minister Lauds Otumfuo For Being Transformational Leader
Hon Stephen Asamoah Boateng, Ghana’s 🇬ðŸ‡Â Minister for Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs says the actions and deeds of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II since his entoolment as Asantehene exemplies the term “transformational leader”.
Speaking to the media on Sunday during the Akwasidae Kese climaxing the 25th anniversary of the reign of Otumfuo as King of Asante, Hon Asamoah Boateng said the Asantehene has by dint of hard work and commitment to development brought honour to Asanteman.
The Chieftaincy Minister who has been noted for participating in almost all the high profile events that was lined up for the 25th anniversary of the King and has been an eternal servant of Manhyia stated his happiness to be associated with a development oriented monarch.
“It is significant to note that since his ascension to the throne as Asantehene 25 years ago every activity or action of Otumfuo has exemplified his transformational attribute and some kf us are proud to know and serve him”, the Minister stated.

The Minister said through education, the Asantehene has by his Otumfuo Education Fund empowered the needy and underprivileged persons in the society to attain higher education.
Hon Asamoah Boateng recalled that through his peace building attributes, the King has ensured the maintenance of peaceful co-existence between the people’s of the North and other places in Ghana.
The Chieftaincy Minister also mentioned the many social and health empowering projects of the people of Asanteman including the recently commissioned Maternity Block for the Manhyia Government Hospital which was named after Nana Konadu Yiadom, the Asantehemaa as an example.
“We have been witnesses to the excellent leadership skills of Otumfuo for the past 25 years and some of us who have been privileged to serve him and be close to him all these years can say that he is humane and a person whose preoccupation is to see proper development in every facet of life in the country”, Hon Asamoah Boateng posited.

Paying homage to the King earlier, Hon Asamoah Boateng was spotted in a resplendent kente which had gold and light green weavings that shone greatly when the sun’s rays caught same.
Wearing a beautiful pair of traditional sandals to match, the traditionally- aware Minister had his famous spectacles on but quickly removed same upon reaching the King’s dais to greet.
Spending a bit of time with the King who offered him an unrestrained handshake, the Minister and Otumfuo shared unbridled smiles such that its infection was seen on the faces of all who were close to the action spot.
The Chieftaincy Minister who has been campaigning with the Vice President, Dr Alhaji Mahamodu Bawumia across the country came for the Akwasidae Kese by leading government delegation to greet the King and to wish him well.
