Ghana News-The Common Fund Administrator, Mrs Irene Naa Torshie Addo has released an amount Seven million five hundred sixty (GHC 7, 563,791. 05) three thousand seven hundred and ninety one Ghana cedis to persons with disability in the country.
In a release copied to the Ghanaian Observer newspaper, the administrator explained the amount is for the first quarter of the year.
She indicated government’s commitment to releasing such statutory funds in a timely manner.
The Common Administration, Mrs Naa Torshie mentioned is also determined to do its part to dutifully enable those qualified to have funds from her outfit.
BREAKDOWN:
Giving a break down of the figures to the PWDs countrywide , Mrs Addo said the Upper West has been allocated 513, 529.75.
The Upper East is billed to have 635, 538.82.
PWDs in the Northern Region have been allocated an amount of 1, 019, 546.63.
For the Ashanti Region PWDs habe been allocated 742, 457.30.
The Brong Ahafo Region had 831, 780.78 for the group of PWDs.
OTHERS:
The Volta Region was allocated a total of 1, 181, 047.80.
PWDs in the Eastern Region have an allocation of 1, 060.836.76.
Greater Accra Region has been allocated 273, 621.39.
The Western Region has an amount of 575, 240.56 for its PWDs.
PWDs in the Central Region got an allocation of 730, 192.18.
