President of the Ashanti South Ghana Conference (ASGC) of the Seventh-day Adventist church, Pastor Stephen Kofi Anokye, has advised President John Mahama to be circumspect as far as political utterances are concerned.
The same advise was given to other politicians during the annual camp-meeting of the church held at Obuasi.
“Becoming a President is not about killing, fighting, or castigating but rather the propagation of manifestos and telling the people how you can meet their needs, wants, and demands as a nation”, he stressed.
He also advised Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo and President Mahama to regulate the utterances of their communicators saying “Ghana is one, Ghana needs peace, no Ghana no presidency, let us unite as one people advice your communicators to be mindful of their utterances”.
The President of ASGC advised all politicians to preach peace instead of war and unite as one nation as the theme for their annual camp suggested; “UNITED TO REACH THE WORLD”.
He encouraged the congregation in the work of God and asked them to put in their all towards building the church and doing what heaven demands as christians.
