Ashanti Regional Police Commander, COP Kofi Boakye has resumed work following his month-long leave after speculations of a transfer from the Ashanti region.
The speculations rawgist.com understands is as result of his promotion from Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCOP) to a full Commissioner (COP) by President John Mahama.
Many including politicians from the Majority and Minority in parliament congratulated him on his current position asking other officers to emulate him.
His absence from office a while put residents in the Kumasi metropolis on tenterhooks wanting to know his whereabouts as they claim he is the best person to supervise elections in the region in terms of security.
