CPP fights to keep Kumbungu parliamentary seat

The presidential candidate of the Convention People’s Party, Mr. Ivor Kobina Greenstreet has promised supporters in Kumbungu the party will  retain that seat plus many others nationwide. He was especially confident of recapturing the Jomoro seat.

The flag bearer made this remark when he visited the Kumbungu constituency as part of his campaign tour round the country.

CPPThe Convention People’s Party, (CPP) is targeting six seats in the Northern Region. Apart from the Kumbungu Parliamentary seat, which is the only seat that the party has nationwide. The CPP is working hard to win the Sagnarigu, Mion, Yunyoo, Tatale and Salaga South seats which are all in the Northern Region.

Addressing the chief and people of Kumbungu, CPP flagbearer, Lawyer, Ivor Kobina Greenstreet said, the party is a party of peace and its main ambition is synonymous with that of the first President and founder of the CPP, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah’s ambition.

The flagbearer also urged the Chief Naa Zakaria Iddrisu to pray for the parliamentary candidate to retain the parliamentary seat and continue with the good work he has done for the constituency.

“It is important for us to retain one thing ; the Kumbungu parliamentary seat. Even though it is not going to be easy, We can’t continue in that struggle at the last hour without coming to seek your blessing and your guidance, we know you bless all that come to you, but we also know our special relationship we have with you, you also hold us dear to your heart”, the flagbearer said.

The Green Train as part of the campaign tour made a courtesy stop at Daung, Zangbalung and Zugu all in the Kumbungu constituency.
