Criticize to make us better, not to break us-Ghanaian comedian

David-AglahGhanaian comedian David Aglah says Ghanaians should be constructive with their criticisms of local comedians.

In an interview with rawgist.com’s Bernard Buachi, the comedian observed that “we are happy when criticized constructively, we get to learn from that but some of the criticisms …it seems are borne out of hatred and are calculated to break your spirit.”

David Aglah says the future for Ghanaian comedy is extremely bright citing the performances of colleague comedians DKB and Foster Romanus at the weekend’s Night of 1020 laughs as a glaring example.

“We cannot control people’s perception but Ghanaian comedy has been improving over the years. The problem is that the criticisms are overshadowing the platforms”, he said somberly.

David, hinted that auditions would soon start in Kumasi for a comedy programme that would change night life in Kumasi.
