Hiplife music icon Kontihene, has challenged Ghanaian music lovers to grab their tickets for the 2014 edition of Citi FM’s Decemba 2 Rememba party if they want a unforgettable night of dance and entertainment.
Speaking on Brunch in the Citi with host Osei Kwame, the ‘asesa’ hit maker stressed, “it’s a duty and a task to get the fans going, to keep them on their toes and to enjoy myself as well. I’m not just going to perform but I’ll ensure we all have a good time together.
“December 24 is a special day so I don’t expect anyone to miss the event. It will really be a night, a Decemba 2 Rememba.”
Kontihene is one of the biggest names in Hiplife music. He won five Ghana Music awards with his debut album. He has also been the conduit through which Kwabena Kwabena and King Ayisoba made their breakthroughs in the music industry.
Decemba 2 Rememba is an annual music concert powered by Accra based radio station, 97.3 Citi FM and has been running for the past 8 years. It is billed as the official Christmas Party of the year and has carved a niche for itself over the years as the party with all the chart-topping artistes of the year. It is also famed for its white top and jeans dress code.
The 2014 edition of the concert takes place on its traditional date, December 24 at the Accra International Conference Center.
Headline sponsor of this year’s concert, Airtel Ghana, says it is optimistic Decemba 2 Rememba will go beyond expectation.

Billed to perform at the 2014 edition of the concert are Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, Guru, M.anifest, MzVee, Keche and comedian DKB.
Citi FM have also promised patrons several surprises but remain tight-lipped on the details. Programmes Manager of Citi FM, Jessica Opare-Saforo however insists the event will be worth every pesewa paid by patrons.
