A 31-year-old man was on Tuesday, February 5 attacked by a group of armed robbers at Amakom, a suburb of Kumasi, robbed and stabbed to death.
The deceased, Noah Appiah Teye who is a bank staff of the Stadium branch of Dalex Financial Services was returning from work when he was accosted by the knife-wielding young men close to the old Children’s Park at about 9:30 pm.
Eyewitnesses say the deceased was stabbed several times at the back after the gang succeeded in collecting his bag containing his personal belongings.
He was subsequently rushed to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital after he was spotted lying in a pool of blood, but was pronounced dead on arrival by medics.
His body has since been deposited at the same hospital morgue for autopsy.
