Suspected Military Persons Terrorizing Estate Developers At Danfa in Akwapim South.

Tension is brewing at Danfa near Aburi in the Akwapim South District of the Eastern Region, where some suspected military personnel have been deployed to a parcel of land.

The soldiers, allegedly acting on behalf of Chinese companies Royal Land Trust Limited and Gold Plus Properties Limited, are intimidating and preventing workers of Juttap Limited and Modex Oil Company Limited from accessing the land.

The Ghanaian estate developers have been legally operating on the land, but the sudden presence of military personnel has created an atmosphere of tension and insecurity in the community.

Eyewitness Report:
An eyewitness who spoke to this journalist reported that the soldiers have blocked the workers from performing their duties.

This, he noted was sparking fears of a potential land grab.

He noted that the activities of these persons in Military uniform was scaring residents and breeding an atmosphere of tension in the area.

Appeal By Management
Management and workers of Modex Oil Company Limited and Juttap Limited are urgently appealing to the Chief of Defense Staff and the Ghana Armed Forces to intervene and restore order.

A rep of Modex Oil Company Limited and Juttap limited, Kofi Mantey in an interview said they are calling for an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the military’s involvement.

He also called for another investigation into the alleged ties to the Chinese companies.

Local Residents:
Local residents are worried about the implications of this development on their livelihoods and the community’s overall well-being.

The Ghana Armed Forces has not publicly commented on the situation, fueling speculation and anxiety among locals.
