President John Dramani Mahama has promoted Deputy Commissioner of Police, Nathan Kofi Boakye, to the rank of Commissioner of Police (COP).
His promotion took effect from June 1, 2016, a statement signed by DSP Freeman Tettey for the Director of Public Affairs of Police, and copied to the Ghana News Agency on Monday, said.
Dr John Kudalor, the Inspector General of Police, has accordingly expressed his heartiest congratulations to COP Kofi Boakye, who is the current Ashanti Regional Commander, the statement said.
