Defilement News-A four-year-old girl reportedly bled to death at Asuokaw, near Asamankese in the Upper West Akim District of the Eastern Region after she was allegedly defiled by a 27-year-old man.
The suspect, identified as Isaac Gyasi Botwe, is alleged to have perpetrated the dastardly act in the full glare of a witnesses at 11:40a.m. on Thursday, November 29, 2018.
Botwe who lived in the same vicinity, was seen having sex with the victim behind a bathroom near the victim’s house.
Police Vehicle
Daniel Ofori, the victim’s uncle told the police that he was assisted by some town folks to carry the profusely bleeding child to the Asamankese Government Hospital for treatment.
He said, however, that due to the severity of the injuries, the patient was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The lifeless body of the deceased was deposited at the same hospital’s morgue pending autopsy.
The case was subsequently reported to the police who proceeded to the scene to arrest the suspect.
The suspect will soon be arraigned.
