The Parliamentary candidate of the New Patriotic Party in the Tamale South Constituency, Mr Yakubu Yussif has described the Member of Parliament for the area as a “filthy” representative who didn’t have the plight of the people at heart.
According to him, Tamale South constituency lacks a lot including quality political leadership.
Mr Yakubu Yussif who is popularly known as “The Star Boy” made these observations when he led a team of NPP faithful to Nyohini a suburb of Tamale to clear a refuse damping site which has been a source of many illnesses in the vicinity.
Mr Yakubu further stated that, he has come to the area to fulfill a promise made by the running mate of the NPP, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia to the chiefs and people of Nyohini.
“There is no where in the political history of this country that a party in opposition is embarking on massive developmental projects” he tells Rawgist.com. Even in opposition we have been able to build a KVIP toilet facility for the people of Sagnarigu and a fence wall for Changli“.
He also appealed to the electorates to sweep out Harruna Iddrisu come 7th November. He further described him as a non-serious leader who takes undue advantage of his constituents. He further challenged the MP of the area to engage in development-related activities instead of organizing “SIMPA” (A local dance) and encouraging immorality in constituency.
