DON’T BE HASTY TO CONCLUDE ON SECURITY MATTERS——FRANCIS ADOMAKO URGES PUBLIC.
The Ashanti Regional Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr Francis Adomako has urged the public to not to rush to the media with information on security issues when they do not have full facts.
According to the NPP regional executive, most often people mix emotions with the information they may have and end up drawing conclusions which turns out to be false.
Speaking to this reporter, Mr Adomako said security matters are complex requiring proper investigations to arrive at conclusions.
He noted that the death of Kaaka, a popular social media activist in Ejura is regrettable but does not warrant the false narrations accompanying the unfortunate death.
DETAILS:
Mr Adomako said there are a lot of conflicting reports emanating from the death of the social media activist.
He said while many rush to accuse the government or some assigns of same to have carried the attack that led to the death of the man, others also point to persons within Kaaka’s family.
These bandying of information can only fuel anger and bitterness on the part of those who feel affected by the death of Kaaka.
Mr Adomako also noted that there is a subtle politicisation of the matter, adding this will cloud the investigation and make the culprits escape justice if the security services are not minded to be focused to unravelling the matters.
ADMONITION:
The regional organizer charged the public to trust the Ministry of Interior to use the Police to conduct professional investigation to unravel the issues.
Mr Adomako said the Police possesses the requisite knowledge and competence to investigate the death of Kaaka and also the unfortunate happenings during the protest that followed the death of the social media activist.
He therefore cautioned the media to also help educating the public rather than carrying the thoughts of people with questionable backgrounds to spew the options as gospel on the unfolding matter.
Mr Adomako also charged the Police to present the public with its investigation and help settle the matter by prosecuting whoever may have contributed to the death of Kaaka and the subsequent escalation of violence in Ejura.
