NDC bigwig Joseph Yammin is warning his party of the psychological warfare being waged by the largest opposition party; the NPP, and wants the NDC to actively counter this strategy as the nation heads into another general elections in 2016.
“If the NDC doesn’t counter the NPP along the same lines they are towing, it might be a problem in future”, he said in an interview on Kumasi based Boss FM.
He says the NPP “peddling lies about defections from the NDC to their party is aimed at influencing people in other parts of the country who do not know that they parade their own NPP members as defectors”. He says the NDC has been able to identify those NPP members paraded as NDC defectors and have been able to pinpoint their
status within the party.
The former Ashanti Secretary of the NDC says he has started to “counter” some of the NPP’s falsehoods on social media as well as other traditional media and wants other party faithful to do same. He also wants the party to deliberately make efforts to rebut some of these “psychological propaganda” being churned out by the largest
opposition party.
