Mr Francis Adomako, a university lecturer and Ashanti Regional Organizer hopeful for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has admonished the public to use dialogue to get issues settled.
This, he noted is better than the resort to fisticuffs and violent confrontations in the expression of dissent or disagreement.
Speaking to the Ghanaian Observer Newspaper after learning of the violent confrontations at Atwima Kwanwoma over the siting of the district capital, Mr Adomako wondered why the people of Twedie and Foase should fight over the issue.
According to him, the NPP government does not develop an area or community because it is a capital town.
The NPP, the regional organizer hopeful noted develops communities because they are deserving of amenities that are seen in urban centers.
‘’The NPP government is development oriented and is determined to spread same to all corners of the country regardless of the community being a district capital or not’’, Mr Adomako stressed.
PEACE:
Mr Adomako mentioned the importance on keeping the peace of the Kwanwoma town as well as other surrounding communities.
According to him, development can only happen in a peaceful atmosphere where all residents live in harmony.
The siting of a district capital, the NPP man opined should never arouse ill feelings or confrontations since the development that will come to the locality will be felt by all.
‘’There should never be a fight or confrontation between people when they engage government on its plans for development’’, Mr Adomako admonished.
RESOLUTION:
Despite the confrontation that has turned bloody with three people dying as a result, Mr Adomako assured of peaceful resolution of the impasse.
According to him, government and local authorities including will work to ensure peace prevails in the Kwanwoma community.
He expressed his belief in the Police administration to fish out the persons who shot dead the three persons at Foase.
‘’I believe the Police will come out with the true report on those they found to have caused the death of the three at Foase after investigations so we deal with the matter perpetually’, Mr Adomako noted.
