Ghana News-The Femme International Enterprenantes and Dynamiques (International Female Entrepreneurs and Dynamics) have conferred honors on Ghana’s famous cancer surgeon and head of Breast Care International (BCI), Dr Mrs Beatrice Wiafe Addai at an elaborate ceremony in Cote D’Ivoire last weekend.
The award is in recognition of the exemplary leadership qualities of the cancer surgeon as well as her continuous effort in educating women about the breast cancer disease.
Reading the citation accompanying the certificate of honor, Madame Djelika Yeo, Chief Executive Officer and National President of the Platform of Women Entrepreneurs and Dynamics applauded Dr Wiafe Addai for her consistent effort in the fight against breast cancer.
According to the CEO, Dr Wiafe Addai had also shown tremendous amount of care by performing free surgeries on women who contracted the breast cancer disease.
AWARD RECIPIENT:
Speaking to the Ghanaian Observer Newspaper after the ceremony, Dr Wiafe Addai expressed happiness at the award by the International Female group.
With her to collect the award were Mrs Ekua Annan, Co-Chair of BCI and Peace and Love Hospital management Board as well as Professor Raja, a renowned cancer surgeon from Morocco.
The honor, she noted will spur her on to do more for the female folk as well as the public since that is the only way she could make her life count for humanity.
She pledged to do more sensitization forums as well medical screenings across Ghana so as to bring to the population the effects of breast cancer and the therapies available for treatment.
Dr Wiafe-Addai reiterated her call on women to hurriedly report any abnormal feelings in the breast any time they see strange happenings.
‘’ I am humbled by the honor done me by the International Female group and I know this will spur me on to do more to help in the fight against breast cancer’’, Dr Wiafe Addai posited passionately.
Dr Wiafe Addai dedicated the award to the vibrant team members at the Breast Care International and the Peace and Love Hospitals in Ghana.
She also shared the glory with all breast cancer survivors in Africa.

Present at this international summit was the Princess of Kuwait and the Gender Minister of Cote D’Ivoire.
Discussing the topic on the forum, the distinguished ladies shared ways of starting and incubating business ideas that has the potential of turning the fortunes of especially female folks around.
With the theme, ‘From nothing to become someone’, the Female group stressed that the best way of eradicating poverty, diseases and hunger is by providing employable skills and capital to the female folk to turn their societies around.
