Ecobank Ghana has unveiled its highest banking service delivery the “Premier Banking Service” into the Ghanaian banking sector.
The service delivery, which is targeted at high net worth customers of the bank, is aimed at offering customers a range of multi-currency savings and lending products with preferential rates, as well as exclusive platinum cards with full insurance protection.
Premier banking customers, whose net worth with the bank exceeds GH¢450,000, will receive a range of exclusive lifestyle benefits, including preferential airline and hotel rates.
Speaking at a ceremony to unveil the new service in Accra, the Managing Director of Ecobank Ghana, Mr Sam Adjei, said the new premier banking initiative would give customers the right to have a variety of exclusive lifestyle benefit.
According to Mr Adjei, the initiative signified the beginning of a redefinition of banking in Ghana and that customers would also have the added assurance of purchase protection, safe custody and private services.
The key features of the service, he said, was the appointment of a relationship manager as a primary point of contact providing a 24-hour, seven-days-a-week financial advisory service to premier banking customers and their families. “Ecobank will also provide a range of wealth management services, including portfolio management, investment advice and stockbroking services,” he said.
The Deputy Minister of Finance, Mrs Mona Helen Quartey, who launched the new service, commended the board and management of Ecobank for prioritising the needs of their customers.
“I encourage Ecobank to continue to leverage its leadership role, its ingenuity and its culture of excellence to the growth of the banking sector,” she said.
A business magnate, Mr Sam Jonah, in his key note address, urged the banking sector to devise modern mechanisms to improve their service delivery.
