The former Member of Parliament for Techiman North and former Deputy Education Minister under the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Alex Kyeremeh, has assured the people of the Kintampo South constituency that the NDC is poised to reclaim the seat in the upcoming December 7 elections.
Kyeremeh attributed the party’s previous loss in the constituency to internal disunity, marking the first time since 1992 that the NDC had lost the seat.
However, he emphasised that the issues have been resolved, bringing renewed hope for victory.
“I have done everything humanly possible to solve the problem. There was disunity among members of the party here but we have been able to bring everybody on board and we are sure that this time we will take our seats back”.
He made these remarks during a community engagement as part of the tour by NDC Vice Presidential candidate, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, on Friday, October 18.
Kyeremeh also noted that Kintampo South is the home constituency of former First Lady Lordina Mahama, stressing the importance of winning the seat as a show of appreciation for her longstanding support of the constituency.
In addition, Kyeremeh criticized the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for failing to bring meaningful development to the constituency during their time in office.
He urged voters to remove the NPP from power, arguing that the constituency had seen little improvement under their leadership.
“Everything you see here is as a result of NDC and four the past 8 years they have not done anything”
