Recent comments by suspended commissioner of the commission for human rights and administrative justice, Loretta Vivian Lamptey has raised some eye brows within the ruling National Democratic Congress.
The embattled commissioner has expressed some misgiving with the decision of the presidency to suspend her. She insists she never directed CHRAJ to foot her profligate hotel bills for which she is being investigated.
She has also questioned why the presidency would assume she will interfere with ongoing investigations when every shred of documents required to probe her abuse of office has been submitted to the Accountant General’s Department.
However Ashanti regional Deputy General Secretary of the NDC, Kwame Zu believes the CHRAJ boss will do herself some good if she kept quiet.
He maintains the president followed due process in sanctioning her suspension.
