Ghana international Michael Essien could be leaving AC Milan after the World Cup, his agent Fabian Piveteau has hinted.
The future of the 31-year-old at San Siro is uncertain following reports that Clarence Seedorf, the man who is believed to be the main architect behind his one-and-a-half year deal, is exiting.
Piveteau has revealed scheduled talks with Milan’s top hierarchy after the World Cup to discuss his client’s future.
“I will meet with Milan after the World Cup, and then we will decide what to do,” he told reporters. “It also depends on the new coach.”
The ex-Chelsea star is currently with the Black Stars in The Netherlands preparing for two friendlies – Holland and South Korea – ahead of Brazil 2014. Ghana have been paired with USA, Germany and Portugal.
